What we do

Annually, the Kiwanis Club of Mansfield actively participates in various fundraising and service projects. Here are some prominent initiatives:

  • Field of Love and Gratitude Field of Honor Flag Project
  • Friendly House Gift Wrapping for Christmas Party
  • Salvation Army Bell Ringing
  • Richland County Fair

Field of Love And Gratitude (F.L.A.G.) Field of Honor

This is an annual event to display flags honoring our veterans, first responders, and military. Flags are purchased by members of the public to be dedicated to loved ones. It is generally held during the week of 9/11 with a ceremony to recognize those who give their lives for our community and country.

Friendly House Christmas Party

Every year, we sponsor the Friendly House Christmas party. As a club, we gather to wrap the presents that have been purchased for the kids. It is a time of fellowship and service that allows us to get to know one another better while providing service. The past several years, we have also raised money through Richland Gives to provide hats, gloves and socks for the kids to help keep them warm in the winter.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

One project we all look forward to every year is ringing bells for Salvation Army. It is fun to join fellow members, K Kids and Key Clubs in this worthwhile cause. There is also an element of competition as each year we compete with the Mansfield Rotary Club to see who can raise the most money during their weekend.

Richland County Fair

Each summer, we look forward to the Richland County Fair. While we work hard at ushering in the grandstand and selling peanuts at grandstand events, there is time to enjoy conversing with fellow members.
